About the role
As an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Officer, you'll support the protection and management of Aboriginal cultural heritage across Parks Victoria's estate.
Working within the Aboriginal Engagement and Partnerships Division, you'll contribute to cultural heritage projects including site assessments, compliance support, and reporting. You'll help build strong, respectful relationships with Traditional Owners, Registered Aboriginal Parties, and communities, supporting culturally appropriate land and heritage management practices.
This role also supports key organisational priorities including joint management of parks and native title outcomes. Based in Bairnsdale with flexible arrangements, you'll be part of a team committed to cultural safety, collaboration and continuous improvement.

About Parks Victoria
Parks Victoria is a statutory authority of the Victorian Government acting in accordance with the Parks Victoria Act 2018.
Parks Victoria is responsible for managing a diverse estate of more than 4 million hectares including 3,000 land and marine parks and reserves making up 18 per cent of Victoria's landmass, 75 per cent of Victoria's wetlands and 70 per cent of Victoria's coastline. Victoria's parks are home to more than 4,300 native plants and around 1,000 native animal species.
We work in partnership with Traditional Owners, government and non-government organisations, private landowners, volunteers and the broader community to deliver positive environmental, economic and social outcomes.
