Our client is part of a well‑established national accounting and advisory network with over 26 partners and more than 220 professionals across Queensland and Northern New South Wales. The firm provides a comprehensive suite of services, including audit, tax, accounting and business advisory, to a wide range of clients from privately owned businesses and high net wealth individuals to ASX‑listed entities and not‑for‑profits.  

As a Senior Accountant in the Business Advisory division, you’ll work closely with Managers, Senior Managers and Partners to deliver high‑quality accounting, tax and advisory services to a diverse client portfolio. You’ll take ownership of compliance and advisory engagements, build strong client relationships and play a key role in mentoring and supporting junior team members.  

The Role: 

• Prepare and review tax returns, financial statements (general and special purpose), management reports and work papers  

• Deliver accounting, taxation and business advisory services in line with professional standards  

• Support and mentor junior accountants to ensure accuracy and timely delivery  

• Build strong, trusted client and internal stakeholder relationships  

• Assist with workflow management, WIP, billing and productivity targets  

• Identify opportunities for additional services and referrals across the network  

• Contribute to process improvements, team initiatives and business development activities  

About You: 

• A degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business  

• CA or CPA qualification 

• 4+ years’ experience in public practice, including exposure to accounting and tax compliance  

• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and taxation principles  

• Experience using accounting and cloud‑based software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, Reckon)  

• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, client‑focused mindset  

• A desire to mentor others and drive your professional development  

• Motivated and technically capable accountant who enjoys collaborative work and delivering quality client outcomes
