The Opportunity
As a Speech Pathologist at OCC Therapy, you will provide clinic, home and school-based support to children, teachers and families to enable children to reach their full potential. The caseload covers children who have a disability and/or have speech, language or literacy difficulties. You will work alongside a fantastic team of fellow Speech Pathologists & Occupational Therapists from our Indooroopilly clinic.
OCC Therapy uses an online management system, enabling you to the flexibility to complete work from home as desired. All therapy resources and assessments are provided in clinic, and we offer a range of supervision and professional development options weekly. In addition to our regular professional development sessions across the year, we hold our annual PD Week in late January each year which includes a week of team building, growth and clinical development opportunities and our annual First Aid and CPR training.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for Speech Pathologists who are passionate about providing client-centred care across the 0-18 age range. The existing caseload has a focus on ages 3-10, with the opportunity to explore outside of this age bracket. Speech Pathologists with 1-2 years experience in private practice are preferred, however new graduates are welcome and also encouraged to apply.
To be successful in this role, you will:
Require membership with Speech Pathology Australia
Have a Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willing to obtain)
Have a drivers licence and a car
Be fun, engaging and passionate about delivering child-led and neurodiversity affirming therapies within the paediatric population
Be experienced in or willing to upskill in speech pathology practice for a variety of complex paediatric clients (e.g. clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Down’s Syndrome)
Be committed to high quality, evidence-based practice
Use your initiative and clinical reasoning skills, while being an active contributor to the team
