Customer Service Assistant – Thornton

We are an established privately-owned chain of 30 liquor stores (and growing) located throughout New South Wales. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Casual Service Assistant to join our team at our Thornton Store.

At Ice Box Liquor, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining high store standards, and creating a positive and supportive team environment. As a Casual Service Assistant, you will play a key role in providing outstanding service to our customers while assisting with day-to-day store operations.

This presents an excellent opportunity for a wine, spirits and craft beer enthusiast to work within a growing independent liquor retail business while developing their product knowledge and retail skills. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing exceptional customer service and product recommendations.
• Processing sales through the POS system.
• Maintaining store presentation and merchandising standards.
• Receiving, unpacking and replenishing stock.
• Assisting with promotional displays and ticketing.
• Ensuring compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements.
• Supporting store security and loss prevention initiatives.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous retail or liquor industry experience is highly desirable.
• A passion for customer service and liquor products.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• A current RSA certificate
