About the role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team in the heavy earthmoving industry. In this role, you will be responsible for mechanical repairs and maintenance on heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other earthmoving equipment.
Responsibilities
• Assist in dismantling machines, components and / or parts
• Clean, check or test components and parts for usability
• Recondition and / or repair machine units, components and parts as required
• Inspect and reject inferior products and ensure quality within the system
• Raise workshop requisitions for required parts
• Maintain workshop equipment and plant as required
Required
• Ability to follow Work Health and Safety procedures and work safely
Desirable
• Trade qualification
• Current forklift ticket
• Current first aid certificate
• Light vehicle mechanics welcome to apply
• Team player with a positive attitude to your work
• Knowledge of earthmoving equipment
