About the role
This HR Generalist / HR Manager role takes ownership of the HR function at Marland Mushrooms. You'll be working closely with managers, supervisors and employees across operations, helping build a workplace where people, performance and compliance go hand in hand.
Key responsibilities
Managing the full employee lifecycle — recruitment, onboarding, performance and exit processes
Providing practical HR advice and support to managers and supervisors
Managing employee relations, grievances, investigations and workplace conduct matters
Supporting performance management and workplace culture initiatives
Maintaining HR policies, procedures and compliance systems
Supporting workplace relations and employment legislation compliance
Managing HR records, reporting and documentation
Coordinating HR training and development
Participation in audits, compliance programs and customer/ethical sourcing requirements
Identifying HR risks and turning them into practical solutions
About you
Relevant qualifications and/or significant experience in Human Resources
Strong knowledge of Australian employment and workplace relations legislation
Experience managing employee relations, grievances and investigations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence dealing with employees at all levels
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
The ability to work independently and make sound, practical decisions
A hands-on, solutions-focused approach
Experience in an operational, manufacturing, agriculture, food production or similar environment would be highly regarded
