Medical Receptionist

An exciting opportunity exists for a casual position in a busy specialist clinic.

Currently offering- Medical Receptionist, 4 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday). Must possess flexibility with working hours and be able to cover holidays and sick relief.

Located within the Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast. Onsite parking included.

Duties Included but not limited to;

• Greeting and welcoming patients in a professional and courteous manner

• General medical reception duties including data entry and recalls as well as handling correspondence via medical objects, email, scanning, faxing etc.

• Scheduling appointments, procedures and managing the clinic's calendar effectively

• Handling patient inquiries and providing information about appointments and procedures

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and files

• Assisting with administrative tasks such as invoicing, billing, and inventory management

• Providing a high level of customer service and ensuring a positive patient experience

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer service role

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals

• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail

• Enjoys working both independently and within a team

• Experience with Genie or Gentu would be highly regarded

• Prior knowledge of Medicare & Health Fund billing & quoting would be highly regarded

• A friendly, professional, and empathetic demeanour

• A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
