Project Manager – Residential Development & Construction

About the role

This is a hands-on project management role responsible for coordinating large developer-led developments from planning and procurement through to construction, completion and handover. Our projects generally involve the delivery of multiple dwellings and associated development works within a broader project. The successful candidate will coordinate the interfaces between developers, consultants, authorities, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Managing substantial, developer-led projects comprising multiple dwellings or comparable construction components

• Coordinating multiple homes, work fronts and associated development works within an overall project program

• Acting as a key point of contact for developer clients and project stakeholders

• Developing, monitoring and updating project schedules and programs

• Coordinating designers, consultants, authorities, trades, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams

• Coordinating design development, documentation and construction information

• Monitoring project progress, budgets, variations, costs and cash flow

• Coordinating procurement, materials, lead times and construction sequencing

• Identifying and resolving issues before they affect project delivery

• Ensuring projects comply with plans, specifications, approvals, quality and safety requirements

About you

• Demonstrated Project Management experience delivering substantial, multi-stage construction projects involving multiple dwellings, development components or comparable complexity

• Relevant experience in developer-led residential construction or a comparable low-rise commercial construction environment

• A practical, solutions-focused approach

• Strong communication and relationship management skills

• Excellent planning, scheduling and organisational skills

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality

• The ability to coordinate and hold trades, subcontractors and suppliers accountable

• Sound commercial awareness and an understanding of project costs, budgets and variations

• Competent computer skills and confidence using project management systems

• A current Australian driver's licence
