We are currently seeking RN's to strengthen our RN casual pool across AM, PM and ND shifts. There also may be opportunity for PPT hours.

About the role

As a Registered Nurse, you will work collaboratively with residents, families, the Head of Care, Clinical Nurse Coordinators and the multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective and resident-centred clinical care.

You will lead the team on shift, providing guidance and support to Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing and Medication Competent Assistants in Nursing, while fostering a strong culture of teamwork and clinical excellence.

This role carries a high level of accountability and plays an important part in ensuring residents experience quality care, dignity and wellbeing. You will manage your workload within established policies, procedures and professional standards, using sound clinical judgement to support best outcomes for residents.

We are particularly seeking a nurse available for permanent Friday and Saturday night duty shifts, and we also welcome applications from experienced casual RNs available across a variety of shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective and evidence-based nursing care

• Undertake clinical assessments, care planning and evaluation of outcomes

• Administer medications and monitor resident responses to treatment

• Lead and support ENs and AINs on shift

• Work collaboratively with residents, families, clinicians and the broader care team

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards

• Support a positive, professional and resident-focused environment

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

• Minimum 1 year of aged care RN experience

• Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills

• Sound knowledge of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards

• Knowledge of AN-ACC

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• A positive, team-focused and professional approach

• High level of computer literacy, including experience with clinical software

• Current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one

• Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work visa

Highly regarded:

• Experience in dementia care

• Relevant qualifications in dementia or aged care

• Experience leading junior nurses and supporting teams on shift
