Conveyancer/Paralegal

About the role

Join a respected and established Redcliffe law firm where your experience, professionalism and commitment to client service will be valued. We are seeking an experienced Senior Conveyancer or Conveyancing Paralegal to play a key role within our property and conveyancing team.

Key responsibilities

• Review residential conveyancing contracts and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with Queensland property legislation and conveyancing requirements.
• Conduct and analyse property searches, including title, council and statutory searches, identifying and addressing issues that may affect a transaction.
• Provide practical guidance to clients on contractual obligations, critical dates and transaction requirements.
• Liaise with clients, real estate agents, brokers, financial institutions and other legal representatives throughout the conveyancing process.
• Negotiate contract amendments, special conditions and transaction-related issues to achieve favourable outcomes for clients.
• Proactively manage risk and identify matters requiring escalation or legal review.
• Take carriage of conveyancing files from contract through to settlement with minimal supervision.
• Monitor and action critical contract dates, including finance, building and pest, due diligence and settlement deadlines.
• Coordinate all parties involved in the transaction to ensure a smooth and efficient settlement process.
• Prepare settlement figures, adjustment statements and supporting documentation.

About you

• Significant experience as a Senior Conveyancer, Conveyancing Paralegal or Property Paralegal within a Queensland legal practice.
• Strong working knowledge of Queensland conveyancing legislation, procedures and electronic settlement platforms.
• Experience managing residential conveyancing transactions independently from contract to settlement.
• Advanced proficiency using LEAP Legal Software.
• Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A professional, client-focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
