As we continue to transform how we leverage technology, data and artificial intelligence across our business, we're looking for an exceptional Data & AI Engineer to establish and lead our enterprise data and AI capability from the ground up.
This is a rare opportunity to join a growing business at a pivotal stage of its digital transformation journey. You'll have the autonomy, influence and support to design and develop the data foundations, reporting frameworks, automation opportunities and AI solutions that will drive smarter decisions and unlock business performance across the organisation.
About The Role
Reporting to the General Manager - Information, Data & Technology, you will lead the development of Alder's enterprise data platform and serve as the technical owner of our data, analytics and AI capabilities.
You'll be responsible for designing the architecture, governance frameworks and reporting solutions that transform business data into trusted information assets, while identifying opportunities to leverage automation, analytics and AI to improve business outcomes.
This is a hands-on role where you will participate and lead the initial requirements gathering, options analysis and design phases and then build the data platform, integrations and reporting from ground up.
Key responsibilities include:
Design and develop Alder's enterprise data platform, architecture and governance frameworksBuild scalable data models, pipelines, integrations and reporting solutionsDeliver business insights through Power BI, analytics and AI-enabled solutionsDrive automation and process improvement initiatives across the organisationChampion data quality, governance and emerging technology opportunitiesPartner with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable data solutionsDevelop and support AI-enabled prototypes and solutions that improve productivity, decision-making and operational efficiency
About You
You're a strategic thinker with strong technical capability who enjoys solving complex business challenges through data.
Experience with enterprise data platforms, modern data architectures or data warehousingStrong skills in data modelling, integration, reporting and analyticsKnowledge of data governance, automation and AI technologiesExperience with Power BI and platforms such as Fabric, Snowflake or DatabricksStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsA proactive mindset and passion for continuous improvementDegree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline is highly desirable
