At McPherson's, we're building the capability that helps our business learn faster, decide faster and work smarter. We're looking for a Data & AI Engineer to help us connect data, automate work and bring practical AI solutions into everyday business processes.
This is not a role where you'll disappear into the back room building technology for technology's sake. You'll work across the business to solve real problems. You'll build reliable data platforms, create automation that removes manual effort, develop reporting that helps people make better decisions and help bring AI into the hands of our teams.

What you'll doYou'll work across data, automation and AI, including:Building and maintaining data pipelines across Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server and enterprise applicationsDeveloping Power BI reports, dashboards and semantic models that people trust and useCreating integrations using APIs, SFTP and other technologies to connect systems and informationDesigning automated workflows that improve efficiency and reduce manual effortSupporting the development of AI agents and AI enabled applications using Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio and Microsoft technologiesWriting Python, SQL and other code to solve business problems and improve data capabilityImproving data quality, governance, security and documentation practicesWorking with stakeholders to understand challenges and design practical solutions What success looks likeYou will:Deliver solutions that create measurable business valueBuild reliable and scalable data productsImprove access to trusted information across the businessHelp teams automate repetitive workContribute to growing McPherson's AI capabilityTurn ideas into practical outcomes that make work easier and more effective What you'll bringWe're less interested in finding someone who has done everything before and more interested in finding someone who enjoys learning, solving problems and building things that matter.You'll ideally have:A degree in Computer Science or a related disciplineThree to five years of experience in data engineering, software development, analytics or a similar roleStrong SQL and Python skillsExperience working with APIs, integrations and data pipelinesExposure to Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and modern AI technologiesAn understanding of data architecture, governance and security principlesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsThe ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and practical wayA collaborative approach and a genuine curiosity about how technology can improve business outcomes Why McPherson's?At McPherson's, our purpose is simple: Making confidence simple.We believe progress comes from people who are willing to learn, take action and work together.
