Migration Agent

Our client is a rapidly growing Australian law firm looking for an experienced Migration Agent to join their expanding migration team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a diverse range of migration matters while working alongside experienced immigration lawyers in a collaborative and supportive environment.
As a Migration Agent, you will take ownership of a varied caseload, guiding clients through every stage of the migration process and providing expert advice on visa pathways and application requirements. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality visa applications, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring compliance with Australian migration legislation and professional standards.

What You'll Be DoingClient Advice & Case Management (Approx. 50%)Manage a portfolio of migration matters from initial consultation through to visa outcome.Assess clients' circumstances and provide advice on suitable visa pathways and migration strategies.Build strong relationships with clients by providing regular updates and exceptional service throughout the application process.Monitor application progress, manage critical deadlines, and proactively resolve issues as they arise.Liaise with the Department of Home Affairs, skills assessing authorities, education providers, and other relevant stakeholders.Visa Preparation & Compliance (Approx. 35%)Prepare, review and lodge a broad range of visa applications, including skilled, employer-sponsored, family, student and temporary visas.Prepare submissions, supporting documentation and statutory declarations.Ensure all applications meet legislative requirements and maintain compliance with Australian migration law and professional obligations.Keep up to date with changes to migration legislation, policy and procedures and apply these changes to client matters.
What You'll BringRegistered Migration Agent (or eligible for registration) highly regarded.Minimum 3 years' experience managing Australian migration matters.Strong working knowledge of Australian migration legislation and visa pathways.Experience preparing and lodging a broad range of visa applications.Experience using Migration Manager or similar migration software is highly desirable.Experience working within a law firm or migration practice will be highly regarded.
