Field-Based Role Solar & Battery Sales Consultant – In-Home Appointments

About the role

You'll attend scheduled appointments at customers' homes and conduct a complete energy assessment. You'll meet customers in their homes, assess their existing solar setup where applicable, analyse electricity bills and household energy consumption, understand how and when the household uses electricity, identify opportunities to reduce reliance on the grid, tailor solar and battery solutions to the customer's individual circumstances, demonstrate projected savings and financial benefits, present the recommended system and pricing, guide the homeowner through their options, and confidently ask for the sale and close business. This is a field-based sales position with appointments located throughout Gold Coast, Brisbane and Tweed Heads. Travel is an essential part of the position, with typical travel times of approximately 10–80 minutes to appointments, depending on location.

Key responsibilities

• Attend scheduled appointments at customers' homes
• Conduct a complete energy assessment including assessing existing solar setup
• Analyse electricity bills and household energy consumption
• Understand how and when the household uses electricity
• Identify opportunities to reduce reliance on the grid
• Tailor solar and battery solutions to the customer's individual circumstances
• Demonstrate projected savings and financial benefits
• Present the recommended system and pricing
• Guide the homeowner through their options
• Confidently ask for the sale and close business

About you

• Experienced in sales, particularly face-to-face or in-home sales
• Confident presenting and closing
• Excellent at building rapport quickly
• Comfortable discussing pricing and financial outcomes
• Able to simplify technical information for customers
• Self-motivated and results-driven
• Reliable, organised and punctual
• Comfortable working independently and travelling between appointments
• Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle are essential
• Solar experience is highly regarded but isn't essential for the right salesperson
