Roxby Council is looking for multiple Cooks to join our Cafe team!

Whether you're an experienced Cook looking for your next opportunity, a qualified cook wanting to put your skills to work, or someone with solid kitchen experience who simply loves great food, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Cafe Cook, you'll play an important role in delivering delicious, quality food and a great experience for our customers.

You'll be responsible for:

• Preparing and cooking food to order.

• Preparing grab-and-go meals and other cafe offerings.

• Following recipes and maintaining consistently high standards of quality and presentation.

• Catering for special dietary requirements and food allergies with care.

• Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.

• Working efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.

• Helping manage kitchen stock, minimise food waste and ensure ingredients are fresh and available.

• Keeping the kitchen clean, safe and organised.

• Working closely with the Cafe team and Hospitality Team Leader.

• Contributing to a positive, supportive and customer-focused team environment.

No two days are necessarily the same, and you'll have the opportunity to be a part of a cafe that plays an important role within the Roxby Downs community.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for people who:

• Have previous experience working as a Cook, preferably in a cafe or similar food service environment.

• Have knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

• Are comfortable working in a commercial kitchen.

• Can work calmly and efficiently when things get busy.

• Take pride in the quality and presentation of their food.

• Are reliable, punctual and take ownership of their work.

• Enjoy working as part of a team.

• Have great communication and customer service skills.

• Are willing to learn, contribute and get involved.

And bonus points if you can also work Front Of House in the cafe, making coffee & other beverages and serving customers!

What Hours Are You Looking For?

We have multiple positions available and are interested in hearing from applicants looking for:

• Casual hours

• Part-time hours

• Full-time hours

The cafe operates across a 14-day roster, so applicants need to be available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends where required.

What You'll Need

Applicants must:

• Have the right to work in Australia

• Be willing and able to relocate to Roxby Downs

• Have previous cooking/kitchen experience

• Be willing to obtain and maintain a Working With Children Check and National Police Check
