Administration Officer - Hands-On / Customer Service

Are you an experienced Administrator who enjoys a role that is varied, practical and hands-on?

We are currently seeking an Administration Officer to join a well-established, family-owned local business with more than 40 years of experience.

This is not your typical office-based administration role. While you will be responsible for a range of administrative and customer service duties, you will also be required to get involved and help out in the warehouse when needed.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, doesn't mind getting their hands dirty and wants to be part of a small, friendly and supportive team.

Working closely with the team, your responsibilities will include:

• Answering incoming phone calls and responding to customer enquiries
• Managing customer enquiries via phone and email
• Preparing quotes 
• Processing orders and assisting with purchasing
• Raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers
• Data entry and maintaining accurate records
• Processing invoices and general administration
• Coordinating customer orders and assisting with scheduling
• Providing excellent customer service
• Assisting the wider team with day-to-day administrative requirements
• Helping in the warehouse when required, including receiving and organising stock
• Assisting with stock control and keeping the warehouse organised
• General office and warehouse duties as required

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, practical and willing to get involved.

You will ideally have:

• Previous administration experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good computer skills and confidence learning new systems
• Experience with quoting, purchasing or processing orders would be highly regarded
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• The ability to multitask and prioritise competing tasks
• A positive, can-do attitude
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a small team
• A willingness to help out wherever needed
• A practical approach and confidence working in a warehouse environment when required

You don't need to be a warehouse expert — we're looking for someone who is not afraid to step away from the desk and lend a hand when the team needs it.

What's On Offer?

• Monday-Thursday 07:30am - 4:00m, Friday 07:30am - 1:30pm, no weekend work
• $65-70k + Super, depending on experience
