About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Gardener/Grounds Person to join our Cairns‑based team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for delivering day‑to‑day gardening and maintenance services across our property portfolio.

Role Responsibilities:

• Whipper snipping, mowing, and edging

• Pruning, detailing, and general garden upkeep

• Weed control and garden maintenance

• Irrigation troubleshooting and basic maintenance

• General building maintenance

• Operation of gardening and grounds maintenance equipment

• Minor servicing and care of gardening equipment

• Contributing to a safe working environment across all sites

• Assisting with minor maintenance and cleaning tasks as required

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as a gardener or grounds person

• Current manual Driver’s Licence

• Physically fit and capable of performing outdoor duties

• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks

• Strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in gardening

• Willingness to learn and develop new skills

• Calm and capable when working in occasionally stressful situations

• Clear and effective communication skills

• Has a “can do” attitude and is happy to help out across the team
