Da Bella Cafe and Restaurant is seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Role overview The Chef will oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, prepare high-quality dishes, maintain food safety standards, and support kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service. Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare dishes in line with menu standards
• Develop and update menu items, including specials
• Ensure consistent food quality and presentation
• Supervise and train kitchen staff
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Monitor stock levels and minimise wastage
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
• Manage kitchen operations during service

Skills and qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
• At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Strong leadership and organisational skills

Work conditions This is a full-time position with flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays. Annual base salary: $79,423 plus superannuation. The position reports to the Restaurant Manager/Owner. The position is only open to Australian citizens and permanent residency visa holders.
