About the role

Pebble Beach Medical Centre is seeking a General Practitioner (VR) to join our dedicated healthcare team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified GP to contribute to providing comprehensive primary healthcare services to our local community in Sandstone Point, Queensland. The role offers flexibility whilst maintaining the clinical excellence and patient-centred care that defines our practice. If you are seeking to balance work commitments with personal priorities, this position provides meaningful clinical work with the support of an established, collaborative medical team.

Key responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive patient consultations and clinical assessments across a diverse range of presentations and age groups

• Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions in accordance with current clinical guidelines and best practice

• Performing relevant clinical examinations and procedures as required for patient care

• Maintaining detailed and accurate patient medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements

• Prescribing medications and treatments appropriately, with consideration for patient safety and cost-effectiveness

• Providing preventative healthcare, health promotion and patient education

• Collaborating effectively with practice nurses, administrative staff and allied health professionals

• Referring patients to specialist services when clinically appropriate

• Contributing to the quality and safety standards of the practice

• Maintaining professional development and staying current with medical advances in general practice

What we're looking for

• Current registration with the Australian Medical Board as a General Practitioner

• A valid, unrestricted General Practitioner registration (VR )

• Current professional indemnity insurance or eligibility to obtain it

• Demonstrated clinical competence and experience in general practice

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds

• A collaborative approach to healthcare delivery and a commitment to teamwork

• Organisational skills and the ability to manage clinical workload efficiently

• A commitment to professional development and continuing medical education

• Current vaccinations in accordance with Australian immunisation standards

• Willingness to undertake relevant training and induction specific to our practice protocols
