Our client is currently seeking a Senior Purchasing Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced purchasing professional who is looking to take the next step in their career and grow into a broader procurement and logistics leadership role within a well-established manufacturing business.

About The Role

This position will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, supplier coordination, inventory control and material planning to support manufacturing operations, while contributing to continuous improvement across procurement processes.

Raise and manage purchase orders using SAPMonitor supplier performance, quotations and delivery schedulesCoordinate stock control, goods receipting and discrepancy investigationsCollaborate closely with production and warehouse teams to ensure material availabilityBuild strong supplier relationships and contribute to process improvementsDevelop broader procurement and logistics responsibilities over time

Skills And Experience

We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates the following:

Previous purchasing or procurement experience within a manufacturing, industrial or engineering environmentStrong SAP experience, with SAP Business One experience highly regardedAdvanced Excel and data management skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with suppliers and internal stakeholdersProactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership and grow into a more senior roleChinese language skills are advantageous but not essential
