Carpenter / Cabinet Maker

About the role

Ace Caravan Repairs is looking for a skilled Carpenter / Cabinet Maker to join our busy workshop in Cheltenham. In this hands-on role, you'll work across a wide range of caravan repair and refurbishment projects, applying your craftsmanship to rebuild, repair and customise caravan interiors and structural components. No two days are the same, and you'll be part of a supportive team that values quality workmanship and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality carpentry and cabinet-making work on caravan interiors, including cabinetry, wall linings, flooring, framing and custom fit-outs
• Inspect caravans to identify structural or cosmetic repair needs
• Repair and rebuild damaged timber and composite structures using industry-standard techniques
• Work with timber, laminates, composite panels and caravan-specific lightweight materials
• Apply silicone cleanly and professionally, including removing excess silicone from accessories and surfaces
• Collaborate with technicians across electrical, plumbing and mechanical repair areas
• Maintain a clean, organised workspace and follow all safety procedures
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members
• Keep accurate records of work completed

About you

• Carpenter or Cabinet Maker, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Experience in caravan, RV, boat or vehicle fit-outs is desirable but not essential
• Strong technical skills with the ability to diagnose and repair structural issues
• Confident using carpentry tools, machinery and repair equipment
• Comfortable and experienced using a silicone gun, with the ability to apply clean, consistent beads and remove excess silicone from surfaces
• High attention to detail and pride in producing quality finishes
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver's licence
