HR Truck Driver

Southern Steel Supplies, part of the Southern Steel Group, is a dynamic leader in the steel industry, offering a comprehensive steel distribution service throughout NSW.

We are currently seeking an experienced HR Truck Driver to join our Milperra team. The role requires you to be agile, adaptive and able to work in a fast-paced environment all while delivering steel to our customers in a professional, timely and safe manner.

About You:

• A valid HR licence with a clean driving record (manual experience required)

• Strong knowledge of Sydney metro and regional road networks

• Previous experience in steel distribution or warehousing (highly regarded)

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

• A ‘can do’ attitude to work, flexible and able to work autonomously in a fast paced and dynamic work environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading of steel products

• Ensure material is securely restrained at all times

• Present to clients in a courteous and friendly manner to promote and maintain company image.

• Assist in maintaining vehicle in good working order completing any vehicle checklists as required

• Ensure that all road rules including those pertaining to speed, load and tonnage requirements and that safety rules and regulations are strictly adhered to
