Book Keeper / Accounts Management Part Time

About the business and the role

Whistler's Chocolate Co is a well established, West Australian family owned business consisting of a chocolate retail showroom, beautiful gift store and café in the beautiful Swan Valley. We have been providing chocolates to WA for over 50 years, we are the home of the amazing chocolate sculptures and we are surrounded by chocolate, fudge, honeycomb, truffles, a great café and beautiful gifts! We have people from all around the world, from all over Australia and our regular local customers too that visit us daily.

The Whistler's Chocolate Company is seeking a motivated Bookkeeper to assist in the management of the day to day accounting requirements and processes of the business.

The role is approximately 15 hours a week. Hours can be flexible and are negotiable, however ideally Tuesday to Thursday 9am - 2pm

The role includes but is not limited to:

• Managing Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable.

• Payroll / Superannuation management and lodgment.

• Reconciliation.

• BAS/PAYG.

• Liaising directly with Owners and Accountant.

The candidate is required to have an excellent understanding of MYOB and general accounting business practices including Tax, Payroll, Accounts management and Reconciliation.

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

• Be meticulous and thorough.

• Be highly motivated.

• Have experience, and be confident with Microsoft Excel, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Have experience in the MYOB accounting system.

• Willing to work as part of a team in a growing family business environment.

The position hours are flexible, and the ability to start immediately at our Swan Valley site is required.
