Warehouse/Maintenance Mechanical Fitter

We are currently seeking a Warehouse/Maintenance Mechanical Fitter to join our team based in our state-of-the-art automated distribution facility at Yennora. Reporting to the Operations Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for keeping our warehouse machinery, plant and materials-handling equipment safe, reliable and operating efficiently.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Complete planned preventative maintenance, inspections and servicing of warehouse machinery and equipment.

• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs to minimize downtime.

• Install, maintain and repair machinery and mechanical components.

• Support the safe operation and maintenance of automated warehouse systems.

• Identify potential equipment issues and assist with improvements to equipment reliability.

• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records, including parts used.

• Order and maintain spare parts, tools and maintenance supplies.

• Work with external contractors, suppliers and service technicians when required.

• Follow all WHS requirements, including isolation, lock-out/tag-out, machine guarding and working at heights.

• Other general maintenance duties as required to support the safe operation of facilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally within a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics or industrial environment.

• Relevant mechanical/electrical or maintenance trade certifications.

• Must hold a current valid forklift license; working at heights & confined spaces and EWP licenses preferable

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills as well as strong communication and acute attention to detail.

• Able to lift heavy equipment and work comfortably in confined or elevated spaces.
