Claims Coordinator – Technical & Warranty

Are you an automotive technical expert looking to transition your hands-on experience into a key office-based technical role? My client, a leading international automotive brand, is seeking an analytical and proactive Claims Coordinator – Technical & Warranty to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for evaluating, adjudicating, and processing dealer warranty claims and repair requests, ensuring compliance with company policy and Australian Consumer Law (ACL) while optimising repair outcomes.

• Technical Evaluation: Review dealer diagnostic reports, repair requests, Service Claim Authorisations (SCA), and Goodwill Requests (GWR) to validate repair methods and cost-effectiveness.
• Claim Adjudication: Assess and process claims using technical expertise, making clear decisions on approvals or rejections in compliance with ACL and warranty standards.
• Dealer & Stakeholder Support: Provide guidance to dealer networks and internal teams on warranty policies, claim processing, and technical standards.
• Quality & Compliance: Identify emerging product trends/issues, maintain thorough documentation to support decisions, and assist in refining operational processes and SOPs.

• Industry Experience: 3–5 years of experience in an automotive technical, workshop, or dealer warranty administration environment.
• Technical Expertise: Comprehensive mechanical/product knowledge with the ability to interpret diagnostic reports and evaluate repair procedures.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Sound understanding of Australian Consumer Law (ACL) requirements as they apply to vehicle warranties and consumer guarantees.
• Analytical Mindset: Excellent problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and sound judgement when assessing complex data.
• Tech Savvy: Proficient in the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience using warranty/parts management systems (experience with SAP is highly regarded).
