Support Worker/ Domestic Assistant

Social Support Opportunity – Grindlewald, TAS

NurseLink Healthcare is seeking a reliable and friendly Social Support Worker to assist a wheelchair user in Grindlewald with his passion for gardening.

About the role
The client enjoys growing fruits and vegetables from seed and maintaining his garden. He is looking for practical support to help him continue enjoying his gardening hobby independently.

Support may include:

• Assisting with moving a wheelbarrow and gardening materials
• Helping move plants and seedlings
• Assisting with raking gravel
• Providing practical support around the garden
• Encouraging and supporting the client while he works on his gardening projects

Service details

• Approximately 2 hours per visit
• Frequency: Potentially fortnightly or monthly
• Social and practical support

Requirements:

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current Police Check
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Working rights in Australia
• Previous disability support experience is desirable
• Availability to work flexible hours
