Hotel Service Manager

The Mangrove Hotel is seeking an experienced and organised Hotel Service Manager to supervise and coordinate the activities of hotel service employees and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel.

You will work closely with hotel management and operational departments to ensure employees are effectively coordinated, service standards are maintained and guests receive a consistently high level of service.

Key Responsibilities

• Determining daily work requirements and allocating duties to hotel employees.

• Supervising and coordinating employees to ensure operational and service requirements are achieved.

• Working closely with managers to coordinate activities across other departments and organisational units.

• Preparing and maintaining employee rosters, attendance records and related workforce documentation.

• Communicating, explaining and enforcing workplace health and safety requirements, procedures and regulations.

• Monitoring service standards and ensuring hotel presentation and guest service expectations are consistently maintained.

• Liaising with other hotel departments to ensure guest requests and operational requirements are effectively communicated and actioned.

• Assisting with front office and hotel reception duties when required, including guest enquiries, arrivals and departures.

• Supporting management with general hotel operations and responding to operational issues as required.

About You

•   Minimum one year of relevant working experience in the relevant position/industry.

• Previous supervisory or management experience within a hotel or hospitality environment.

• Strong leadership and people-management skills.

• Experience coordinating employees, allocating duties and managing rosters.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary between $79,000 and $85,000 per annum plus superannuation.
