Fulltime Cook Wanted for A Busy Cafe

About the role

Margi by Azure is seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join the kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing, seasoning and cooking a variety of meals in accordance with recipes, quality standards and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing, seasoning and cooking a variety of meals in accordance with recipes, quality standards and customer requirements.
• Preparing ingredients and ensuring all food is ready for service in a timely manner.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with relevant legislation and company procedures.
• Receiving, storing and rotating food supplies using appropriate stock control practices.
• Working collaboratively with the Head Chef and kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service.
• Complying with all workplace health and safety requirements.

About you

• A relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery, Kitchen Management or a related hospitality discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen - minimum 12 months.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe food handling practices.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong communication skills and a positive work ethic.
