Day-to-day tasks include fitting, assembling, and installing mechanical components and machinery, performing routine and preventive maintenance, and completing repairs to ensure equipment reliability and safety. The role involves operating and maintaining machining equipment, interpreting technical drawings and specifications, and troubleshooting mechanical issues as they arise. Team members are expected to adhere to workplace health and safety standards, collaborate with other trades, and complete work to required quality and timeframes.QualificationsStrong mechanical fitting skills, including Fitting and working with various fixed plant mining equipment.Experience with Machining processes and safe operation of workshop equipment.Capability in Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance for mechanical systems and equipment.Relevant trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter and/or Boilermaker, or equivalent.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and efficient work practices.Previous mine site experience essential.Working at heights and confined space certification a must.Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team on-site.
