Maintenance Fitter

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to support our manufacturing operations by maintaining and improving tooling, dies, and plant equipment used in layflat hose production. This hands-on role suits a proactive tradesperson who enjoys problem-solving, precision machining, and contributing to continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture, modify, and repair dies, mandrels, and specialised tooling

• Interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve tooling performance

• Maintain accurate tooling and modification records

• Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on production equipment

• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs

• Conduct preventative maintenance per schedules

• Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning

• Operate manual and/or CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and drills

• Fit, assemble, and align mechanical components

About you

• Trade-qualified Machinist / Fitter & Turner (preferred)

• Strong machining and mechanical fault-finding skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Safety-focused, reliable, and team-oriented

• Clear and professional communicator
