Bookkeeper

We’re growing quickly across retail and venues nationally, while keeping the fun personality that made people love Quips in the first place.Quips  is seeking a motivated Bookkeeper for Xero to assist in the management of the day to day accounting requirements and processes of the business.

The role is approximately 15 hours a week. Hours can be flexible and are negotiable

The role includes but is not limited to:

·       Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions on a regular basis

·       Payroll / Superannuation management and lodgment.

·       Recording and reconciling financial transactions in Xero with accuracy and attention to detail

·       BAS/PAYG.

·       Liaising directly with Owners

·       Performing bank reconciliations to ensure all payments and deposits are correctly matched

·       Preparing and maintaining general ledger accounts

·       Assisting with month-end and year-end

·       Managing invoicing and payment processing for clients and suppliers

·       Supporting the preparation of financial reports and statements

·       Ensuring all bookkeeping records comply with relevant accounting standards and company policies

The candidate is required to have an excellent understanding of XERO and general accounting business practices including Tax, Payroll, Accounts management and Reconciliation.

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

·       Previous experience in a bookkeeping, accounts or similar role

·       Strong working knowledge of Xero

·       Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations

·       Good understanding of Australian payroll, superannuation and GST requirements

·       Experience working with purchase orders

·       Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

·       Strong organisational and time-management skill

·       Be meticulous and thorough.

·       Be highly motivated.

·       Have experience, and be confident with Microsoft Excel, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
