Drafting Senior Checker / Team Lead

BSF Design Solutions is looking for an experienced Senior Checker / Team Lead to join our Berrinba office.This is a senior role for someone who takes pride in quality, enjoys solving complex detailing challenges and is comfortable providing guidance and leadership to a team.You’ll play an important role in ensuring our structural steel models and drawings are delivered accurately, efficiently and to the high standard our clients expect.
What you’ll bring:• Minimum 10 years’ experience in structural steel detailing• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a checking role• Strong ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, connection designs and RFI responses• Ability to identify conflicting, incomplete or ambiguous design information and drive practical solutions• Excellent organisational and communication skills• Ability to manage changing priorities and demanding project schedules• Trade Certificate, Diploma or Civil/Structural Engineering related qualification — or equivalent industry experience
The role will involve:• Reviewing models and drawings to a high level of accuracy• Leading, mentoring and supporting members of the detailing team• Identifying design issues and driving their resolution through RFIs and design coordination• Working closely with engineers, clients, project managers and other stakeholders• Monitoring project progress and communicating potential programme or delivery issues• Helping maintain the quality and consistency of BSF Design Solutions’ project deliveryIf you’re an experienced structural steel detailer and checker looking to take the next step into a senior leadership position, we’d like to hear from you.
