Details: The Social Policy Section within the Health Policy and Strategy Branch is seeking experienced and highly motivated Senior Policy Officers to contribute to some of the ACT's most significant and complex health and social policy priorities.
Working across areas including disability health, LGBTIQA+ health, and reproductive and women's health, you will help shape policy, programs, legislation and system reform initiatives that improve health outcomes and health equity for diverse communities. This is a dynamic role that combines policy development with program management, governance, secretariat and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with community organisations, people with lived experience, service providers, advisory groups and government stakeholders, providing policy advice, managing projects and funded initiatives, supporting boards and committees, and contributing to the delivery of high-profile government priorities.

Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for six months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.
This recruitment process is being used to fill several vacancies within the Social Policy Section. Successful applicants may be placed in the Disability Health Policy, LGBTIQA+ Health, or Family and Inclusion teams based on operational requirements, skills, experience and candidate preferences where possible.
A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill similar vacancies across the Health and Community Services Directorate over the next 12 months.
