About the role

IMEA Group is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a 3rd - 4th Year Electrical Apprentice. This is a full-time position based in our Fyshwick, ACT location. As an Electrical Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and continue to develop your skills under the guidance of our experienced team of electricians.

What you'll be doing

• Assist qualified electricians with the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment

• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics

• Carry out electrical work with increasing independence while working under the direction of qualified electricians and supervisors

• Develop and demonstrate skills in wiring, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting electrical circuits and equipment

• Continue building your trade knowledge through on-the-job experience, formal training and off-site electrical courses as you progress toward qualification

• Maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety and organisation across all worksites.

• Identify potential issues, communicate effectively with electricians and supervisors, and contribute to practical solutions when troubleshooting.

• Liaise professionally with clients, builders and other trades, helping ensure work is completed efficiently and project deadlines are met.

• Take increasing ownership of assigned tasks and demonstrate the initiative, reliability and technical capability expected of a 3rd–4th year apprentice.
