Medical Receptionist

East Sydney Doctors is a well known GP practice located in Darlinghurst and within close proximity to public transport. We are passionate about providing quality health care to our patients. 

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and committed applicant to join our practice team. The successful applicant will be someone who enjoys customer service and enjoys being part of a busy team. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work across our three practices if/when and as required.  Our other practices are located in Bondi Junction and Surry Hills.

The Role

• Provide a high standard of administrative support to our patients and GP's 

• Answering telephone calls, scheduling of appointments and enquiries

• Welcoming and greeting patients in a courteous and respectful manner

• Knowledge of general practice Medicare billings

• General administrative/reception tasks associated to role

• All other general daily administrative duties as required for the role

Experience and Key Responsibilities

• Previous experience in a medical receptionist role is essential, preferably no less than 1 year

• Experience with Best Practice software desirable. Proficient computer skills essential

• Time management and organisational skills essential

• Answering phone enquiries in a polite and helpful manner in a timely manner

• Triaging patients and monitoring waiting room
