Salary: 79,423 plus superannuation

The Company

Tambrey Centre is currently looking for reliable and motivated full-time Chefs to join our busy venue and growing team.

Key Duties:

• Prepare meals to order from customers

• Monitoring and upholding orderly and hygienic work practices to ensure a premium food product

• Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen

• Supervising production of function and catering menus as required

• Monitoring stock rotation when new stock fresh and frozen produce or dry store stock arrives

• Ordering food supplies, monitoring food costs and staff overseeing and training for new dishes.

• Working in conjunction with restaurant management to plan seasonal menus

• Monitoring perishable stock to minimise wastage and prevent contamination

• Maintain food quality and presentation under pressure

• Report promptly maintenance and safety issues and ensure they are corrected 

• Monitor portion control and production flow and correct where necessary

Skills and Experience required:

• Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery is highly regarded

• 1 year or more experience working in a commercial venue

• A passion for the Food and Beverage Industry

• The ability to take direction and work as part of a team

• The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
