Cleaner

About the role

The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic workplace across all production, warehouse, office, amenities, and common areas. Working within a textile manufacturing environment, the Cleaner plays an important role in ensuring high standards of cleanliness to support employee wellbeing, workplace safety, and product quality.

20-25hrs per week

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain offices, production areas, warehouses, meeting rooms, lunchrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and common areas.

• Sweep, vacuum, mop.

• Empty rubbish and recycling bins and dispose of waste in accordance with company procedures.

• Clean and sanitise toilets, wash basins, showers, kitchen facilities, and other amenities.

• Dust, wipe, and sanitise desks, workstations, benches, shelving, windowsills, and other surfaces.

• Clean internal glass, mirrors, doors.

• Replenish consumable items including soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and hand sanitiser.

• Maintain cleanliness of entryways, walkways, and external areas immediately surrounding the workplace where required.

• Stock shortages to the Compliance Officer.

• Safely store and handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company procedures.

About you

• Previous commercial or industrial cleaning experience preferred.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards.

• Reliable, punctual, and organised.

• Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Good communication skills.

• Physically capable of manual handling, standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, and repetitive cleaning tasks.
