About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a social media professional who lives and breathes organic social.Working as part of our growing marketing team, you'll be responsible for planning, publishing and growing the organic social presence across the Timbecon Group of brands, including Timbecon, Triton and Melbourne Tool Company (MTC).
Rather than creating content yourself, your focus will be on developing social strategies, managing content calendars, optimising performance, engaging with our communities and ensuring every piece of creative content reaches the right audience.
You'll also play an important role in supporting Triton's global distributor network, coordinating approved social assets and helping maintain a consistent international brand presence.If you're passionate about social media, thrive on organisation, love analysing performance and enjoy building engaged online communities, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
Organic Social StrategyDevelop and manage the organic social media calendar across multiple brands.Plan and schedule content across Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube and emerging platforms.Identify opportunities to increase audience growth, engagement and brand awareness.Recommend new content ideas and organic campaigns based on customer insights and industry trends.Align social activity with product launches, promotions and key marketing campaigns.
Social Media ManagementPublish and optimise content across all organic social channels.Tailor captions, hashtags, publishing times and platform-specific formatting.Repurpose content across multiple channels to maximise reach and engagement.Ensure all social activity is on-brand, accurate and delivered on schedule.
Community ManagementMonitor comments, messages and conversations across our social channels.Respond to customer enquiries where appropriate and escalate support requests when required.Foster an engaged, knowledgeable and positive online community.Identify opportunities to participate in relevant conversations and strengthen brand advocacy.
Performance & InsightsTrack channel performance and prepare regular reporting.Analyse engagement, reach, audience growth and content performance.Use insights to continually improve organic social strategy.Stay up to date with platform updates, algorithm changes and emerging trends.
Brand & Distributor SupportManage the organic social presence across Timbecon, Triton and Melbourne Tool Company.Tailor content strategies to suit each brand's audience and objectives.Coordinate approved social media assets for Triton's international distributor network.Support global distributors with campaign implementation and social media best practice.Help maintain a consistent global brand presence across owned and distributor-supported channels.
CollaborationYou'll work closely with our marketing team including our Creative Operations Manager and Content Producer to ensure our content performs at its best and supports broader marketing objectives.
About YouWe're looking for someone who combines creativity with organisation and understands what makes great organic social media.
You'll ideally have:2+ years' experience managing organic social media for a brand or agency.Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube best practices.Excellent copywriting and written communication skills.Experience using social media scheduling and publishing platforms.Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.Confidence analysing performance data and turning insights into action.A genuine passion for digital marketing, social media and emerging trends.
Bonus Points ForExperience managing multiple brands.Retail, eCommerce or consumer products experience.Exposure to international marketing or distributor/dealer networks.Experience using Shopify, Google Analytics or Klaviyo.An understanding of SEO and broader digital marketing.An interest in woodworking, DIY or trade industries (helpful, but certainly not essential).
