Boilermakers

Krueger Transport Equipment is looking for experienced Boilermakers to join our manufacturing team in Truganina, Victoria. You'll work hands-on with heavy steel, fabricating and building components that form part of our locally manufactured trailers and transport equipment.

• Fabricating and assembling heavy steel components and structures.

• Reading and working from engineering drawings, measurements and specifications.

• Measuring, marking out, cutting, shaping and fitting materials prior to assembly.

• Carrying out MIG welding as part of the fabrication process.

• Using grinders, cutting equipment, hand tools and workshop machinery.

• Checking dimensions, alignment and completed work against specifications.

• Identifying and rectifying fabrication or fit-up issues where required.

• Producing work to Krueger's quality and production standards.

• Working safely and contributing to an efficient workshop environment.

• A relevant Boilermaker / Engineering – Fabrication Trade qualification, or equivalent.

• Previous experience in boilermaking, structural steel or heavy fabrication.

• Strong fabrication, fitting and MIG welding skills.

• Confidence reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

• Experience working with heavy steel and fabricating components to specification.

• Good measurement and practical problem-solving skills.

• A strong focus on quality, safety and attention to detail.

• The ability to work effectively as part of a manufacturing team.

Experience in trailer manufacturing, heavy vehicles, transport equipment or a similar heavy engineering environment will be highly regarded.

• $36.32 per hour + superannuation.

• Permanent, full-time employment.

• RDO every second Monday, giving you a regular long weekend.
