Rope Access Technician

Horizon Rope Access is continuing to grow, and we are looking for experienced Rope Access Window Cleaners and Rope Access Painters to join our team across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Southeast Queensland.

We currently have opportunities available for:

• Rope Access Window Cleaners

• Rope Access Painters

Both positions require a current IRATA qualification (Level 1 minimum) and previous experience working within your respective trade.

These are initially casual positions, with consistent work available and the opportunity to progress into ongoing or permanent roles for the right people.

For our Window Cleaning team, we are looking for experienced Rope Access Technicians who are confident completing commercial window cleaning and pressure cleaning at height.

For our Painting team, we are looking for experienced painters with current IRATA certification who are confident completing preparation and painting works via rope access. Experience with commercial, high-rise and large-scale exterior repainting projects will be highly regarded.

Our team works across a wide variety of commercial and residential projects, including high-rise buildings, large-scale repainting projects, façade maintenance and specialist access works.

Depending on your experience and position, your role may include:

• Rope access window cleaning and pressure cleaning

• Rope access painting and surface preparation

• Commercial and high-rise exterior painting

• Patching, minor repairs and façade maintenance

• Setting up and inspecting rope access equipment, anchor points and safety systems

• Completing work in accordance with IRATA procedures and site safety requirements

• Working closely with other technicians, supervisors and ground crews

• Completing required SWMS, pre-starts, timesheets and site documentation

• Maintaining company equipment, PPE and rope access equipment

• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, safety and professionalism on every project

• Current IRATA Level 1 certification minimum – Level 2 or Level 3 highly regarded

• Previous rope access window cleaning experience

• Experience with commercial window cleaning and pressure cleaning

• Confidence working at height and completing a variety of rope access techniques

• Strong attention to detail and pride in the finished result

• Current IRATA Level 1 certification minimum – Level 2 or Level 3 highly regarded

• Previous professional painting experience

• Experience completing painting and preparation works via rope access

• Commercial, high-rise and large-scale exterior repaint experience highly regarded

• Strong preparation and finishing skills

• Experience with exterior coatings, membrane systems, patching and minor repairs advantageous

• Current IRATA certification

• Construction White Card

• Strong work ethic and pride in your workmanship

• Reliable and punctual

• Ability to work well as part of a team

• Good communication skills

• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and at height

• Strong focus on safety

• Current Australian working rights

• Driver's licence and reliable transport highly regarded
