HR Truck Driver (Flatbed/ Hook / Merrell) - WACOL - Immediate Start

Who Are We: 

A privately owned family business with a solid reputation in the Scrap Metal Recycling Industry.  Our primary function is the collection and processing of scrap metal to supply both domestic and international industries that require end-of-life metals to produce new products.

What are we looking for:

We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and experienced Truck Driver (HR or above) who is self-motivated, flexible, and able to prioritise tasks while delivering excellent customer service. You will have at least one year of previous truck driving experience, a professional manner, and a positive “can-do” attitude.

This is a casual position that requires full availability from Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays as required. There is opportunity for a permanent position for the right candidate.

What You'll be doing:

• Safely operating a variety of trucks including hook, skip, flatbed, Merrell, dog trailer, and car carrier.

• Liaising with the Supervisor to ensure clients are serviced efficiently and on time

• Tracking the movement and collection of recycle bins

• Assisting with accurate data entry and record keeping for each client

What you need:

• Current HR (or higher) Truck Driver Licence

• Previous heavy vehicle driving experience

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

• High attention to detail

• Experience with Hiab crane (desirable)

• Willingness to use mobile phone/tablet with jobs allocated via ReMatter app

• Ability to pass random drug and alcohol testing
