Truck Driver

Full Job Description:

T.M.R. (Total Metal Recyclers Pty Ltd) is a family owned and run local business with warehouses in Rockingham, Osborne Park and Wangara.

Our company is looking for a qualified and experienced HR TRUCK DRIVER to join our team.

You will be in responsible for transporting scrap metal materials between warehouses and from local businesses.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Operate trucks respectfully, and responsibly at all times.

- Common sense approach to loading and restraining your loads.

- Work with Logistics and Warehouse Superintendent to ensure all jobs are serviced in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner.

- Present with a well-dressed, friendly ‘can-do’ attitude every day especially with customers. (Uniform supplied).

- Be willing to get out of the truck and get hands dirty to help colleagues/customers.

- Assisting Logistics Planner in the tracking/monitoring of bins.

- Keeping trucks well maintained at all times

The Ideal candidate will:

- Current unrestricted HR license is required.

- Heavy vehicle driving experience of at least 2 years or more is required.

- Hold a current forklift license.

- Sound Mechanical aptitude

- Must have knowledge of the Perth Metropolitan area

- Be motivated with a ‘can-do’ attitude, someone with attention to details.

- Have the ability to listen and communicate with others

- Have the ability to work both independent and well as part of a team.

- Have good problem-solving abilities

- Citizenship, or visa capacity to work five days a week

- Knowledge of metals would be a plus but not necessary.

Pay: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour
