Mandalay Resources, Costerfield Operation, owned and operated by Alkane Resources Ltd, is situated in Central Victoria, east of Bendigo and surrounded by numerous towns within a 50km radius, offering a variety of residential options.

Our current operation runs an underground mine and processing plant that is responsible for producing gold and antimony.  The mine's workforce consists of over 250 permanent employees who hold various roles in professional, technical, mining, processing, and trades.

We are seeking an Electrical Superintendent to join our team at Costerfield Operations.  This role is ideal for an experienced leader in overseeing Electrical team and contributing to a growing operation.

About The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Electrical Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating an experienced team of electricians to deliver outstanding electrical services across our Costerfield operations.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

·         Provide visible safety leadership and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

·         Supervise electrical installation, repair, and maintenance of plant and equipment.

·         Manage rosters, workloads, and ensure flexibility to meet operational priorities.

·         Act as the Site Authorised Electrical Nominee for Worksafe and Energysafe, ensuring compliance with AS3000 and relevant legislation.

·         Contribute to budget planning, infrastructure development, and project management.

·         Drive continuous improvement and maintain high-quality standards in all electrical services.

·         Lead and develop your team through training, mentoring, and performance management.

About You

The Electrical Superintendent we are seeking must have strong leadership skills and a shared commitment for success. You must be a collaborative leader and critical thinker that will apply expert electrical knowledge to optimise operational outcomes. As Electrical Superintendent you will:

·         Trade Qualified in Electrical.

·         Be an effective and conscientious leader.

·         Be an excellent communicator with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

·         Be experienced in leading and delivering projects from conception to completion and in line with budget requirements.

·         Be an experienced Mine Electrician with at least 5 years’ experience in underground and processing environments

·         Have at least 5+ years’ experience managing day to day activities of a team.

·         Have an advanced understanding of electrical standards and regulations.

·         Prioritise people management and mentoring others.

·         Develop positive and professional relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders.

·         Experience and knowledge of OHS Acts and regulations and codes of practice.
