Give HOPE Today Op Shop in regional NSW Australia, is an initiative of Asian Aid. We’re passionate about providing affordable, good-quality clothing and goods while supporting local community initiatives. Our shop is so much more than a place to shop—it’s a vibrant hub for community connection, and giving back.  Every donation, every sale and every conversation helps us create positive change.

This is more than just a retail role—it’s an opportunity to lead, inspire and make a genuine difference in our local community. As Shop Manager and Leader of our volunteer team, you’ll play an important role in keeping the shop running smoothly and creating an experience that makes people want to come back.

We’re looking for someone who sees a shop manager role as an opportunity to do more than keep a store running—you want to lead people, build community and make a difference.

You might be someone who:

• Enjoys connecting with people and making everyone feel welcome.
• Has a warm, positive and approachable nature.
• Loves bringing people together and creating a strong sense of team.
• Is confident taking initiative and keeping things organised.
• Can inspire, encourage and support volunteers with different skills and backgrounds.
• Takes pride in presenting a welcoming, tidy and inviting shop.
• Enjoys meeting customers, sorting donations and discovering the stories behind the people who give and shop with us.
• Is happy to roll up your sleeves and get involved in the day-to-day work of the shop.
• Has good judgement, reliability and a willingness to learn.
• Wants their time and energy to contribute to something bigger than themselves.

You don’t need to have worked in retail management before. What matters most is your heart for people, your ability to lead and your desire to serve your local community.

As Shop Manager and Leader of our volunteer team, you’ll have the opportunity to create a place where volunteers enjoy coming to serve, customers enjoy coming to shop, and the wider community can see the difference that generosity and connection can make.
