Finance Manager

About the role

This role is about producing numbers, understanding them, interrogating them and telling what they're saying about the business. You'll own the finance function, be close to management and have a genuine influence on how the business operates. This isn't a traditional corporate CFO role, nor is it simply bookkeeping.

Key responsibilities

• Monthly management accounts, P&L and balance sheet reporting

• Weekly financial and "flash" reporting to management

• Cash flow, revenue, expenses and debtor management

• Accounts payable and receivable oversight

• Payroll tax and statutory reporting

• Balance sheet and other key reconciliations

• Annual financial and compliance requirements

• Working with external accountants and advisers

• Developing KPIs that identify business trends early

• Improving debtor days and cash collection

About you

• CA/CPA qualified or strong equivalent commercial experience as a Finance Manager, Management Accountant, Financial Accountant or Assistant Financial Controller

• Commercially minded and highly analytical

• Hands-on and comfortable owning the numbers

• Strong with systems, reporting and technology

• Curious about AI and automation

• Confident communicating with senior management

• Comfortable working independently from home

• Proactive, organised and accountable
