Dental Assistant

About the role

Vasse Dental is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in Vasse, WA. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dentists and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our dental practice. This is a casual position, offering the flexibility to work around your schedule.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting dentists during examinations and procedures by handing them instruments, mixing materials, and maintaining a clean and organised work area

2. Sterilising and disinfecting instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols

3. Preparing treatment rooms for patients by stocking supplies and ensuring everything is ready for the dentist

4. Greeting and welcoming patients, and helping them feel comfortable throughout their visit

5. Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, including charting and documenting treatments

6. Performing various administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and handling billing and insurance inquiries and some reception duties

What we're looking for

1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service

2. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately

3. Proficiency in using computers

4. A friendly, calm, and professional demeanour, with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of our patients

5. Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory, In House training will be provided as needed
