Our busy restaurant is looking for an experienced, forward-thinking Chef who is passionate about culinary arts. The Chef will be responsible for assigning work in the kitchen, preparing meals for our diners, interviewing and training staff, kitchen inventory management and partnering with the Cook to come up with delectable new dishes to add to our growing menu. What we offer:

• Annual Base Salary: AUD$80,000-$85,000 (38 hr/week)

• Plus Super, Allowance, Bonus.

Qualifications:

• Cert. IV in Commercial Cookery

• Minimum 01 year of work experience.

• The Applicant should be a Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia 

Responsibilities :

• Responsibility to analyse the performance of each dish individually and part of the whole menu accordingly Plan the menu for the Restaurant in consultation with the Management. 

• Demonstrating and monitoring the techniques that need to be followed in the preparing of food and ensuring the food standards are always being maintained at all the stages of food preparation.

• Assessing the cost of food and other factors involved in preparation of various recipes to its final stage.

• Seasoning, preparing and cooking all food items. 

• Preserve various food items as per their specification and freeze them under appropriate temperature as per the standards.

• Ensure the food safety standards are maintained as per the statutory requirement and hygiene are up to standards as laid down by the regulatory authority. 

• Taking feedback from Managers, service staff, kitchen staff on food planning issues, evaluating the feedback and accordingly implementing and fixing the issues. Overall responsibility to organize the Kitchen and catering Department
