The Position:

Chef

Our busy restaurant is looking for an experienced, forward-thinking Chef who is passionate about culinary arts. The ideal candidate for this position will be a natural leader who always has a finger on the pulse of current culinary trends. The Chef will be responsible for assigning work in the kitchen, preparing meals for our diners, interviewing and training staff, kitchen inventory management and partnering with the Cook to come up with delectable new dishes to add to our growing menu. What we offer:

·       Annual Base Salary: AUD$80,000-$85,000 (38 hr/week)

·       Plus Super, Allowance, Bonus.

Qualifications:

·       Cert.IV in Commercial Cookery

·       Minimum 01 year of work experience.

Applicant should be a Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia.

Responsibilities :

·       planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies

·       monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation

·       discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff

·       demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures

·       preparing and cooking food

·       explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations

·       may select and train staff

·       may freeze and preserve foods
