About the role
The Company
Civmec is an Australian-owned, integrated, multidisciplinary heavy engineering and construction services provider to the energy, resources, infrastructure, marine and defence sectors. Our diversification enables us to operate extensively across the nation, supporting a wide range of landmark projects and providing variety and career development opportunities for our workforce.

Civmec is proud to be delivering Iluka's SMPE&I package, including the piping installation scope for the Iluka Rare Earths Refinery. This large-scale project involves complex structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation works across a high-profile processing facility.
As construction progresses, we are now seeking an experienced HSE Trainer & Assessor to deliver safety training, support workforce competency, and reinforce strong safety behaviours across the SMPE&I scope. You will play a key role in ensuring personnel are equipped to meet project and legislative requirements while contributing to a proactive, high-performance safety culture.
This position is based at the Iluka Rare Earths Refinery in Eneabba, approximately 274 km north of Perth, Western Australia. We offer a 2:1 DIDO roster, with transport to and from site provided from Perth Airport.
The Role
Reporting to the HSE Superintendent, the HSE Trainer & Assessor plays a key role in supporting project safety compliance by delivering training to industry best practice standards and overseeing the Verification of Competency (VOC) process to ensure workers are competent to operate plant, equipment, and perform high risk activities.
