Team Supervisor/ Bar & Waitstaff

Restaurant Bar Team Leader, We’re looking for an experienced Bar Supervisor / Team Leader to help run smooth, high-energy services and lead the front-of-house bar team. You’ll be hands-on behind the bar, support the floor, and keep standards high across service, staff performance, presentation, and guest experience.

This is a leadership role suited to someone who thrives in busy venues, leads by example, and knows how to keep a team calm, fast, and consistent under pressure.

Key responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day bar operations during service (set-up, service flow, close-down)
- Supervise and support bar staff to deliver fast, friendly, consistent service
- Maintain high standards in cocktails, pours, presentation, cleanliness, and speed
- Manage bar prep, stock levels, ordering support, and wastage control
- Ensure RSA compliance and responsible service standards at all times
- Handle customer issues professionally and resolve problems quickly
- Train and coach staff (cocktail builds, service standards, upselling, section management)
- Support rostering and shift coordination (breaks, coverage, peak-time planning)
- Work closely with management and kitchen to keep service running smoothly
- Maintain venue presentation across bar areas (including end-of-shift cleaning and checklists)
- Assist with functions/events service and team coordination when required

What we’re looking for
- Proven experience as a Bar Supervisor / Team Leader (or strong senior bartender ready to step up)
- Strong cocktail knowledge and ability to execute consistently under pressure
- Confident leadership style — calm, fair, and firm when needed
- Great communication and team coordination skills
- Strong problem-solving and customer service instincts
- High standards for cleanliness, organisation, and process
- Availability to work nights and weekends (peak trade)

Required
- Current RSA (NSW)
- Full working rights in Australia

Desirable
- Experience with stock control systems and ordering
- Experience supporting functions/events and high-volume service
- First Aid (optional)
